Typical Putty Properties

Most New Pig Epoxy Putty is sold in a pre-measured tube, making it easy to work for extended periods with a larger batch of epoxy repair putty rather than constantly mixing up additional smaller batches. With most conventional brands of radiator putty, plumbers putty and wood putty, once the two parts are mixed, the chemical reaction begins that cures the epoxy and cannot be stopped or reversed, giving these products a relatively short re-use value.

Effective Work Time

Epoxy putty goes through two stages after it is applied: First, it "sets," which is the time it takes for it to begin adhering to the surface and then it "cures," which is the time it takes to reach maximum strength. New Pig Epoxy Repair Putty retains a quick set time of 5 minutes and dries harder than cement in 1 hour, making it a valuable tool for getting work accomplished quickly and correctly!
